Since Hellscream's Reach is the faction for the Horde side of Tol Barad. That means this is sort of like the old Mammoth you could get for Stone Keeper's Shards.

Edit: Yes it requires rep, but it is still a ground mount both sides have an equivalent to that you get from the PvP zone of the expansion...

Looks more like a ghost wolf. Doesn't have the spectral feel that the spectral tiger has.

Jesus, horde will get That Retarded Wolf, quite hilarious though (to bad it wont have sparkling wings and will fly) and people bought the steed for real money. Guess Blizzard likes annoying customers :)

Got this cool ghost canine yesterday immediately after hitting exalted. I may be biased, but I LIKE the Frostwolf Howler, and getting a spectral version of it is just ecstasy. It costs 165 marks, but it's worth every single one of them.

i have a spectral tiger and i saw someone with this wolf and the tiger looks better and so it should do the spectral tiger is one of the best mounts in the game the only mounts topping it are the AQ tank mount,invincible and the ashes of alar

Wish they'd incorporate the new worg design and give it a very brutish armor design accustomed by the orcs, as it stands you could get a frostwolf howler and just say it's a revived spectral one.

But if you want one that's slightly ethereal, don't let my comment dissuade you.

requires seems to point to that (lvl 70 and riding 300) but being the exact same model with a ground mount and some one from my realm (i dunno him, but asked him) told me to be ground only, also i saw him summoned in Tol Barad (so, unless is as headless horseman mount ...)

can anyone confirm or infirm please :P

Shame that it's the Frostwolf mount. You can tell by the markings. Slightly blurred, but it's the Frostwolf Howler none-the-less.

I submitted a GM ticket to get some clarity. Here is an excerpt of the response:

"The Spectral Wolf is not a flying mount. It's just a ground mount. There are no current plans to change it to a flying mount. We might be adjusting the riding skill requirement needed to ride it however."

Bummer. Would be nice to have more non-drake flying mounts.

This mount is SICK! I cant think of a better ground mount..

and now im going to get this first before i get the drake for 200 Tb points...

I thought it was the arctic wolf mount.. and i didnt really like that one, and i just looked at the screenshots for the spectral and I really like it and will be my new ground mount.

In fact i like this so much that I am going to be stuck with the gay bronze drake for another few weeks just so i can get the spectral wolf first.

If you are an orc shaman you can't pass this mount up. As both a wolf and a spirit it's a perfect fit.

I wish this was more see-through like Spectral Wind Rider or how it is for Ghastly Scavenger. Looks better with Burgy Blackheart's Handsome Hat on, since it makes your mount ghostly.

I logged into my horde today (First day of Patch 5.1) and noticed that I had this mount. I'm guessing by virtue of having Reins of the Spectral Steed on alliance side (keeping in mind I never stepped foot into Tol Barad as a Horde). I've also noticed mounts such as Mechano-Hog, Horde's counter to Mekgineer's Chopper was also in my list of mounts now. It appears numerous other mounts counters are transferred over now that wasn't before in 5.0.5. Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth was account wide for all on the alliance side before today, but is now included in the cross faction mounts just like the before mentioned mounts.

In the mount journal is says you need 200g to purchase this mount, but you still need 165 tokens. Just checked tonight (4/9/2016).
