Note that there is only one type of bag reward, unlike the Shattrath dailies, where Crocolisks in the City rewarded a different type (which could contain the crocolisk pets)
So, while you can get a new pet from this bag, you have an equal chance for every quest, hence on every day, to find it.

I don't see it listed, but the first time I did the fishing daily when the patch hit I got runed stormjewel. It fits a red socket and is +23 spell power.

Because no one will look up Porcelain Bell just for the heck of it, if you DO end up getting one in your bag, don't toss it, its worth 100g if you sell it to a vendor. I know I almost tossed it but was in for a surprise.

I would LOVE to know how people complaining about getting drops they don't want that are already listed in multiple loot tables is helpful in any way to this site and its inhabitants. What I meant to do by posting once is to deter further wastes of time from people rattling off everything they get from this quest.

lol, i just started to do the daily fishing quest and the first time i did it i got an epic jewel with 30+ stamina wich i sold on my server Aggramar EU for 300G, and then today i got Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat xD I am so lucky :3

The importance of the High Test Eternium Fishing Line (+5) is most signficant. Until 3.1, this lure was obtainable _only_ from a rare fish called the Dezian Queenfish available during the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Competition!

While the Spun Truesilver Fishing Line (+3) was found in the Bag of Fishing Treasures handed out by Old Man Barlo, one must appreciate the inherent value of those extra two points for fishing. Anglers are some of the most appreciative of small statistics -- anything to ensure a perfect day of fishin'!

Damn...I really can't say that without sounding offensive, but seriously when you turn in the fishing daily (no matter which one) there is a vendor RIGHT THERE! Even if it's only 32 copper, there's no excuse not to vendor vendor trash. If your first reaction to vendor trash was to delete it, especially with a vendor right beside you, then I'm sorry but you're an idiot. I wonder how long until this gets purged? /sigh

i consider myselfd very lucky. Today, i got this and opened up; 3 Pugmy Oil - 1 Velociraptor Skull, 1 Recipe:Captain Rumsey's Lager, 1 Bold StormJewel and a Strand Crawler. Pretty sure this happens once in a life time, but just want to keep the spirits up!

If you complete the fishing dailies and do not open the bags until 3.2 comes out, will they have a chance to drop the Waterlogged Recipe, even though they were gotten in 3.1? I'm sure the same can be said about the Small Spice Bag having a higher chance of dropping Dalaran Cooking Award in 3.2 as well.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them (recently)... Long story short, I have THE most terrible luck in the game. Since I started playing I have always been the last in my guild to get the mounts that drop, good weapons, etc. I decided to level up fishing on my hunter (I already have it leveled on several of my other 80s).

Day 1, fishing skill approx 250 (what I had left off at previously from over a year ago): I fish up the turtle mount in Borean Tundra (much to my pleasant surprise), and got eternium fishing line from the daily

Day 2, fishing skill now approx 325: I receive captain rumsey's recipe and somehow fish the sewer rat up from the fountain

Day 3, fishing skill approx 370: I receive a porcelain bell, and weather beaten fishing hat (which I don't see mentioned as a possible reward from the bag, except the shatt version)

Day 4, fishing approx 440: earned coinmaster achievement (nothing else to note)

Day 5, fishing 450: recieved strand crawler in my bag

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but the chances of all that happening in one week are pretty slim. So, my question is this: has Blizz upped the rate at which players can gain fishing rewards?

I know that it was 200 fishing levels, but that still wouldn't account for the fishing bag contents, and how quickly I was able to fish up the turtle and the rat (I had gotten maybe 5-10 total catches from the sewer from the fountain edges, but I *did* have a gold coin buff... hmmmm). I would love to hear if anyone else has had similar luck.

People under level 70 can get this bag from losing the kalu'ak fishing derby. With some luck u can get ur low lvl alt an amazing fishing pole or a nice hat.

Lvl 10 druid with fishing pole + hat= Overpowered Bear

the new "fantasy painting" item, having a picture of a pandaren on it, is likely Blizzard's way of saying that having pandarens in WoW is a fantasy. That, or Marcia Chase has a thing for pandas XD

It seems the bag not only provide you with fishing related items, but also can count towards an achivement. It seems if you loot Deviate Fish from the bag it infact counts towards the The Limnologist achivment.
