This item only benefits direct heals and not hots. That means it is a "priest only" item because no druid would actually use this for the proc. That sucks because this is an awesome item as far as spirit goes.

use this trinket then cast tranquility.
and everyone in your party will get the stacking buff on each tick.
pretty helpful in some situation.

One of the two trinkets with spirit as a stat in game other then Alchemist stone.
The other being Spirit-World Glass.
Combine they provide a total of 157 spirit just from trinkets.

Great trinket for priests. With CoH (and it's respective glyph), the buff can be applied to 6 targets instantly.

Although this is useless for a paladin, I tried it out and the buff "Touched by a Troll" will proc on nearby players from the Glyph of Holy Light splash healing; it brings up some interesting possibilities for boosting AoE healing. Also it makes your heals look like a druids :)

While spirit is not often sought after by Shamans, as of 3.0.7 this trinket WILL proc off every hit of chain heal - great for raids.

Probable reference to popular television show Touched by an Angel given that the buff is provided by a divine troll trinket.

Unbelievably, according to Rawr2.2.2 this is fourth best in slot for resto druids...

This trinket does not consider the instant heal component of Renew with talent Empowered Renew to be a direct heal to proc.

Does it scale at all with SP? I guess it's good for healers casting a lot of quick heals, but +290 HP seems to fall in the "meh" range for holy priests.

58x25 on the first = 1450
116x25 on the second = 2900
174x25 on the third = 4350

=14500 more heal from Tranquility then usual, like it needs buffing ^^

Just to clarify, it's not possible to roll the buff after the use effect has ended (which is after 20 seconds). It can be refreshed just at the end for an extra 10 seconds.

For a resto druid, assuming spamming Nourish every 1.25 seconds for the whole 20 seconds and keep the max buff for an extra 10 seconds, it will come to about ~240 extra spellpower averaged over the duration of 30 seconds. Given the 2 min CD it gives an extra 60 spellpower - but again only if you spam Nourish every time the CD is up.

Globally the only situation where I can imagine this being interesting for druids is in case of main tank healing (normally not a resto druid's strong point), in combination with the Nourish glyph.

I am having a bit of trouble understanding the wording of the trinket.

I part it states: "Your direct heals increase healing received by their target".

Who is "they" for the wording to say "their"? Does that mean the target of my target? Or is it just some more of Blizz's notoriously wonderful wording and it means my target? Or am I just not understanding the wording?

Still works at 85, the extra healing for the whole raid is cool. Touched by a Troll comes up in MSBT and the buff looks like Rejuvenation. Oh did I mention the buff is called Touched by a Troll?
