A bit silly trinket. Because the bonuses is quite imbalanced as per 2.1.0 patch:

- 10% chance to gain 100 mana on a Lesser Healing Wave, a hardly used heal is kinda annoyingly stupid.

- 15% chance to gain 100 mana on a Lightning Bolt is also rather stupid, considering the trinket that drops in Serpentshrine Cavern has exactly same effect, except it's 200 mana more. (Fathom-Brooch of the Tidewalker)

- 50% chance to grant 250 attack power on a stormstrike however, is truely excellent and the reason to get this trinket for enhancement shamans, that's basically like having a +125 attack power trinket, since it will be up roughly 50% of the time.

Hope Blizzard gives this trinket a second thought for the non-Enhancement shamans.

The Healing end of this Trinket is insulting.

In the long run its the same effect as the Totem of Flowing Water in Naxxramas.

-10 Mana cost vs 10% chance for 100 mana, or about 2% off your lesser healing waves.

It's ok if you like to spam Stormstrike and also have the t6 or HWL enh gear (Depending how far your guild is going) The mana gain is alright, kinda like a 15% at getting a discount but either way 1 side of the trinket will be useless to you probably 2 or maybe not

I have to agree; the healing and elemental trinkets are poor poor poor and the enhancement one is omgwtfwow. Of course it won't really be up every single time you SS... or even every second time. But if you have strings of procs, enhancement aggro becomes even more unbelievable. XD

If it was even 10-15% chance for LHW and LB to return it's full mana cost, it would be a LOT more useful. (But still prolly better things out there, depending on your playstyle and the length of the fight.)

Just make the elemental/resto ones similar to the druid one (might be a little difficult without an HoT for the resto one) but it wouldn't be too much of a strain. The enhancement proc is amazing, as everyone has pointed out thus far.

Just buff the other two, or make them exactly what the druid proc is and we'd be set.

Starfire has a 25% chance to grant up to 150 spell damage for 8 sec
Rejuvenation has a 25% chance to grant up to 210 healing for 8 sec.

The enhancement part of this trinket is truly amazing because the actual proc rate becomes ~89% while dual wielding, easily making it the best enhancement trinket in the game.

this is true but i would like to add that with the ehnancement shaman tier 6 bonus u get 70 ap when u use stormstrike.
that's crazy with a nasty Dw like http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32236 and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32262. note the speed of those weapons, they are slow which gives more damage on wf so in my opinion this is the supreme character.

this trinket is very good for shamans which are orc or troll but not tauren. when this grants 110 mana on a lesser wave dont think it cmes rarely.

It seems like with the mana efficiency improvements in 2.3, this is pretty terrible for elemental shaman now (not that it was great before).

As usual, shamans get the short draw. All of the Ashtongue trinkets are amazing, except the shaman one.. Yes, mana is nice, but when compared to the damage buffs the other class trinkets give, this falls so short it doesn't even get off the ground.

Almost seems that it was perhaps made for when enhancement shaman occasionally lightning bolt to pull or lesser healing wave themselves while solo grinding, that instead of considering elemental and restoration specs blizzard just decided to add to extra funyuns to an enhancement trinket for grinding convenience. Oh yes, this must be so.

The lack of a hidden cooldown on this trinket is the reason why it works so good, the aforementioned Fathom-Brooch of the Tidewalker for instance, has a 45 seconds cooldown. One might argue that he does or does not need the mana, but shall he need it (hybrid spec, dual role, or whatever) this will give it to him.

For Enhancement shaman is best choice right after Tsunami Talisman and Dragonspine Trophy.

If you dont have these two trinkets, like me pff , Ashtongue Talisman of Vision and Madness of the Betrayer are fine .

Ashtongue Talisman of Vision is 275ap with 50% chance to proc when you use stormstrike and lasts for 10seconds.

That means is a stable 275*50% = 137.5 AP stable, as Stormstrike has 10second CD and is spammed at fights. So 10 second CD of SS and 10 seconds 275x50% means 137.5 ap boost when you dps.

This trinket should work for Elemental shaman and Restoration shaman the same way it works for Enhancement shaman.
Elemental Shamans should get a XX% chance to give xxx Spelldamage for X seconds when they cast Lightning Bolt.
Restoration shamans should get a XX% chance to give xxx Healingpower for X seconds when they cast CHAIN HEALING! When did resto shamans in BT ever cast lesser healing waves equal times as chain healing? Maybe because the chain healing is immensely boosted from T6 bonuses this was made. In that case it should be
Restoration shamans should get a XX% chance to give xxx Healingpower for X seconds when they cast ANY direct healing spell. Or give them a small haste or anyway something like that.

With changes granted by the arena set (which some ppl use as enhancement gear can be hard to get vs the grindable afk'v merc gear) and or the coming changes with improved storm strike - the issue of an internal hidden cd comes into play when you look at the value of the enhancement proc. you can get SS down to a 7 second cd (or 8 if you just use talents) which means you would have to delay using your storm strike or WASTE 12-13 seconds in not havin this up - lowering the proc time if your spamming SS if it has an internal cd of 10 seconds. If it doesn't, then it will not really change anything other than it will give you 2-3 seconds of 550 AP, which could be cool considering if WF procs from / after your SS, 1-2 proc'ing in that window if happening immediately on the timer.
