unfortunately for alliance, this, the highest level non-combat pet is only available to the horde, for you conspirator believers out there, another reason that blizz prefers horde perhaps. Good luck to all you hordes going for this, the quest IS soloable (just about) at level 65 on more or less any class, just use your abilities sensibly and consumables (if you have to).

It's funny you would say that Blizzard favors the horde, considering this pet:

Which is, in fact, only available through a quest in Feralas by the Alliance.

maybe he/she comes from a server on which he/she did this quest where no alliance bothered doing it as its a non-combat pet.

furthermore, probably asked in chat and was ether led blind/astray by other silly players purposley misleading him/her

At the end of the quest there is a level 65 elite. I soloed this as a level 66 warrior. Be aware to not attack anything that Skywing didn't pull, or else he will go on without you. :D

In 2.4 it seems to have been reduced to Level 1. Still a neat reward though, even if Miniwing's flapping can drive you bonkers.

You can get it back by talking to a Stable Master and click on "I've lost Miniwing"

as of 3.0 if you no longer have this item but have completed this quest you cant talk to a stable master and the will teach you the ability to summon it.

I also believe this is a Jimi Hendrix reference, and the ilvl might be for the song "If 6 was 9" - 96.

Far fetched? Maybe, just seems out of order seeing as most other pets have ilvl 1 or 20.

Actually it only took my boyfriend 10 minutes to farm. For me I was on/off farming for an hour at a time - No luck. So he farmed it for me and got it within 15 minutes. The drop rates aren't SUPPPPERRR low, they're just saying that so not a lot of people have it.

i look for him for quite a while to get a few more pets and found him at 53, 72, hes a big white bird on the floor, if your having problems finding turn on low lvl quest tracking if it isnt already on.

At level 96, Miniwing is by far the hardest Companions in the game. Great for main tanking Lich King, but don't think about getting loot, I hear he is a ninja.

Hunters can now get a Jumbowing pet: Brilliant Macaw. Only problem is that it's somewhat of a rare spawn in Deadmines. (They spawn in both normal and heroic in the final room.)

Maybe not at the vanilla days but since TBC they have been inclining towards them, more and more ...now you guys can be happy the Spriter Dartling comes in the same way to both Horde and Alliance. And Horde now has one (2 actually) more racial mounts.

Back to topic: The quest to get this pet is available to both factions and it's obtainable from level 63 but it requires at least 3 people to do it, it's an escort quest ...players level 70+ should have no problems soloing it.

That is not accurate... the quest at 56, 71 is an escort quest for Shatari Skyguard rep in Skettis. The escort quest for Miniwing is giving by Skywing at 53, 72
