This weapon has:

Exact DPS with exact minimum and maximum damage (in other words identical) with Vindicator's Brand from Aldors exalted.

If someone is dumb enough to pay more than 1k for this he should consider that by spending 1k gold he could easily get exalted with Aldors which means gainning access in recipes and enchants as well.

So you do the math if this sword is worth 4-digit gold.

It's not about the price you can sell it for. It's about the weapon itself, so if it's only a 7%~ proc rate then it would be easier to go Aldor - Exalted and get that weapon. 38 AP + 10 Hit Rating can outshine a silly proc.

If anything I would wear both since they can compliment each other nicely as a Fury Warrior.

Got this some weeks ago from Steamvault Normal mode, been farming black morass för Lator's Shifting Sword and I finally got that one too.

This is worth as much as Vindicator since it procs ALOT, I've seen it proc twice one swing many times, and with sword spec you would be surprised if you didn't get an extra attack for each mob/enemy you were hitting.

2 of these weapons combined with sword spec for combat rogue would own the dmg meters in raids with a couple of decent enchants. Then combine that with what i think is a meta gem that has the same effect, and the trinket, and you can have 2-3 windfurys in one set of swings XD onshot mage white dmg anyone?

Just got this baby a few days ago, and having read about it, decided to make some tests. So, using procwatch and an item held in off hand, to just check hits from main hand, i came across the following results:

998 Hits
66 procs

I was aiming for 1000 hits, BUT this is just an estimation, not the exact value, remember.

So, that gives us about 6,6132264% proc rate, estimated 6,6% proc rate. IMO this is very, very nice, and remember that even though sometimes it might seem that it doesn't proc that often, it's due to it's 2.6 speed and the combined procs of sword spec (if you have it) for BOTH hands. So just grab yourself some haste buffs and a shammy windfury totem next to you and watch that DPS fly =)

Purchased on "The Forgotten Coast" (US) for 1500g. I felt it was a little steep, but then I heard people saying that they see it on their server for upwards of 3kg, 4kg, insane prices, and it sells every time.

My advice would be to buy this if you have the money, because even if you can't equip it, you may be able to make crazy profits by selling it to a Rogue or Warrior with too much money on their hands.

I won't be selling mine, though. My Rogue just got his final mainhand.

One very important thing no one has mentioned about the proc. And that is, it can proc off instant attacks. Not following? Fury/arms build, with flurry/sword spec. Now, go out and spam hamstring, and drop a bloodthirst if you like. Trust me, I was doing this alot, before I specced to prot for raiding. It works, just be very, very careful when DPSing in instances with this setup. You can build alot of aggro before you realize it.

dual wielding these + windfurry + hand of justice and sword spec can make for some really funny moments and leaves the other side scratching their head as to why they just died instantly. It gets even better when that kill is through prayer of mending. When fully buffed I get an extra attack from some source about every 2-3 swings. However, if you are going to run these hit rating will become your most important stat.

I laugh constantly at these people but it is quite frustrating when i come on here and actually see how good it is. This just screams out for combat sword spec rogues. This is a great weapon to farm for before you enter kara or some of the games in depht content. With lastro's shiting sword offhand, your combat potency procs and extra swing procs will show in your dps in melee friendly fights. with this sword and lastros, even combat daggers rogues of similar gear have trouble keeping up.

Was dreaming about this baby since my rogue was a lvl 19 WSG-twink. Couldn't win an auction for it about a month ago. It was like a 850 g bid and no b/o. I was too excited and looked forward to have this uber-item so I was hasty and made a bid a little too early. It was a Wednesday, right before the maintenance, and someone did outbid me when about 15 seconds to servers shutdown left. I was depressed but still had hope to buy Blinkstrike someday (it's usual price on our realm is 2700-3000 g and that's a bit too much for me). Finally I got it yesterday from the AH for 1500 g early in the morning (about 4 a.m.), otherwise, I guess, it wouldn't stay there for too long. Oh lucky me. So what have I to say: I'M IMPRESSED, this sword blows my mind away with it's freakin' often procs, and that sound when it procs drives me crazy... I think it's kind of a fetish or a cult of a sword... haha. Love this babe.

It certainly doesn't proc as much as it used to, but I would still say it's comparable to the Aldor sword. It's the best sword you can get pre-Spiteblade (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28729) if you aren't Aldor, and it's certainly a weapon worth a Mongoose enchant.

5 minutes after my server comes back up from 2.1 maintenance and it drops for a fist weapon rogue in my guild. yoinked that from him, and less than a week later i get my second from a dagger spec rogue hordie who put it on the neutral AH for me!

now i just have to get my rogue to 70.

only thing that changes is the extra attack. I think when u are raiding its better with more hit and ap.

So, i decided that it was not worth spending 2.5k gold on a item u can buy for like 200g.
All u need is to get exaulted with The Aldor, u can do it with quest or returning in Mark of Sargeras, Mark of Kil'jaeden. and Fel Armament. I got Exaulted fast! Just handed Fel Armaments. :)

Blinkstrike is by far superiour over the Vindicator's Brand. Having it myself on a swordspecc-Hemorrhage rogue, with Arena offhand, I'm topping dps meters in most raids, when the other rogue with same specc is never coming close with the Aldor weapon. The procc makes up so much more dps, so if u want to be the best, I say buy it.

I doubt since I don't even think it counts as a swing, but before I concider getting this weapon I wanted to be sure ;)

BTW I'm strongly doubting between this weapon and the talon of azshara (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30082) any advice? I've neveer been a big fan of chance on hits but try'n persuade me :p

DPS is the DMG OVER 1 SECOND... so that means the weapon speed has, per se, nothing to do with white DPS.... you can have a very slow weapon on off hand if it has higher dps than that of a fast weapon.

BUT, for a rogue, blink strike on offhand is completely retarded, you gain substantially Less energy in the long run...

for a rogue, sword spec is not entirely best. sword main hand isn't best because when using dagger or fist, you gain 5 percent more critical chance, which applies to your instant attacks, whereas the instant attacks like SS would not be inflenced by the extra attack from swords.

critical strike=twice the damage=twice the attack, which makes sword speicallizationa and dagger/fist specialization have the same overall effect if we only auto attack and do nothing else. you have to see what you are using. you want a fast sword on OH which strikes more often and thus more energy overall which then translate into more instant attack damage. this is much more important than some 5-7 percent proc white damage. to optimize DPS, ideally you would use a dagger/fist on mainhand which have the 5 critical chance that applies to instant attacks and a fast sword which has a 5 percent chance to attack twice thus generate more energy in the long run, and that again translate into instant attacks. this is the optimal dps generation.

but, to have both sword and dagger speicalization you waste 5 more talent points...

please do not post information like BLINKSTRIKE IS SO MUCH BETTER, or things like i am on top of the DPS meter in a raid. when you are trying to evaluate effectiveness of anything, you have to make sure your analysis is stringent. if you are saying that you are using blinkstrike and other rogue is using vindi, then you must also demonstrate that your other equiptments are exactly the same to control the comfounding variable. you might be doing more damage becuase your 10 other equipments makes the differnece, rather than your sword alone made the difference...

also, people post SS about how blink strike proc twice in a row... it's called random chance, meaning that is not significant or meaningful...
if you can show under 10 minute that blinikstrke procs consecutively very very often, then that makes it significant and meaningful.

i hope people understand that people who made up the skill trees know very well what they are doing, they would not make one "thing" much more powerful over another. one item is better than another only in certain usage and for certain purpose. blinkstrike would never be the BEST, if there is anything that ever becomes BEST absolutely and attainable by a lot of people, it will be nerfed.

i've thinking on this Drakefist main hand, blinkstrike offhand, for quite some time now with slice n dice proc from the mace and say for example the trinket from gruul's lair or even the one from mechanar (haste related trinkets), u´ll be hitting for like 1,30 maybe less plus extra attacks (blinkstrike + sword spec). maybe wrong but im betting on huge damage. plz help me out with this idea.

Im a lvl 70 orc warrior, i got 2 x Blinkstrike. And with Hand of justice and Sword specc i got a chance of 4 x Exstra Attack. The proc rate is like 6,5% x 2 (Blinkstrike). Hand of justice and sword specc is 5% x 2. The chance of exstra attack is 23% on hit. Its Fun Fun Fun

If you're a Fury Warrior who can get this, it is a very difficult weapon to replace for your main hand. If you are considering buying it, then I promise you it will be a sound investment! The only problem is finding the right off hand for it.

If you're stupid like me you didn't skill up Blacksmithing to create the epic off hand sword. I'm stuck duel wielding this with Latro's Shifting Sword, which isn't bad mind you, it’s a great off hand sword and will take you far! But Blinky will last you for much longer.

However, I do not suggest getting Mongoose on this, Rogues can benefit from it more than Fury Warriors, we already got Flurry which can be up most of the time, and if you get the trinket from Gruul's Lair you're set for life in terms of haste procs. Even if you only have the trinket from Normal Mech, its more than enough to keep your haste going when needed.

I’d suggest getting Potency on this and your off hand together. Its cheaper, and good guildies can just give you the mats for it, as they aren’t much anything that isn’t normally with an enchanter anyway. The lack of stats "could" hurt your overall DPS if your lacking it in other places (Like I am) and besides +20str never hurt anyone who wasn't on the receiving end of a Fury Warrior's Weapon!

You would never want to OH blinkstrike as a warrior. Since about 1/3 of your attacks are special attacks, you'll never see the proc off those. You're basically wasting the proc if you OH this weapon.

Main hand this and OH something else.

Wow. This was up on my realm AH for 1200g BO and I couldn't resist. It is usually up for around 2.2k. At first I was skeptical about its ability, but that was quickly replaced with shock. I put my vindicators brand on my OH (too keep the hit rating) and put this in my MH. My first few kills I noticed a significant difference in attacks. I kept noticing that occasionally mobs were taking HUGE amounts of damage and looked back at my combat log and noticed this procing multiple times each fight. Wow. This with poison along with sword spec proc, were going off all the time. Id say it was a sound investment :)

Im currently Dual Wielding these on my Fury Warrior.

Have been doing so for a long time. The total price i payed for the 2 of them amounts to about 4k gold total. And i can say it has been well worth it. They are both enchanted with mongoose.

NOTE: I like to fool around with different type of weapons. Even if they happen to be really low lvl etc. I just grinded myself the Ironfoe weapon that has 2 extra hit procs on it. Been playing around with its proc lately even at lvl 70. So the armory might show different weapons every now and then.

Dual Wielding these weapons has a some bad points. If you dont have enough hit/crit rating youre gonna be strugling with DPS. So minimize your misses and get some nice crit and these weapons will be great.

If you happen to be as lucky as teaming up with a Druid tank and enhancement Shaman on an instance run, I can guarantee you that you will love the insane DPS. (Your tank and healer might not however :P )

I just bought mine at the AH for get this 600gold bid. I also bought the first one for 800gold about 5 months ago. So they are going down in price, my server is burning blade. I dual both of these with 20agi on both of them and I do know that if I use one of my 3 epic daggers it would be faster, but the dps I get on ppl when I deul is un godly. I crit around 2600 till 3100, and they proc all the time. OH, by the way I am rogue, so if you see one cheap try one out they are so cool!

Couldn't resist buying this in Trade channel for 1000g. As a prot warrior I like to take time out from the tanking role, drop my usual combination and equip this in my MH with Blazefury in my OH for solo grinding. With Executioner on BS, Mongoose on BF, and Darkmoon cards Madness and Wrath it's a proctastic buff fest. Just makes spamming devastate a constant smile and rapidly alternating heroic strike and devastate as a rage dumper can produce fantastic dps. BS procs usually at least once every mob, mostly more than once. Quite often you get a double proc and if you are real lucky you might see this in your combat log..........

You hit mob for ???
You gain 1 extra attack through Blinkstrike
You gain 1 extra attack through Blinkstrike
You hit mob for ???
You gain 1 extra attack through Blinkstrike
You gain 1 extra attack through Blinkstrike

A double double, nice :)

Edit Lol, charged a lvl 71 skettis surger and it died instantly, when i checked my combat log there was a double blinkstrike proc followed by a single hit then a tripple blinkstrike proc.

i am thinking about getting this on my rogue. not much of a PVPer but do lots of instances on heroic and sometimes do raids. is this wepaon worth buying for a perosn who does mostly heroic dungeons. =)

Definitely not. A Blinkstrike in the offhand means much less energy from Combat Potency and much less poison application.

Wow i just got this sword and the only thing i can say is that im happy it dropped, i do the craziest damage, my hemorages go up to 1600, so does sinister strikes. I hit simply 1k with white damage (Im a Rogue)

To anyone that wants to know what talents to go with some swords simply go full subtley, and a little bit of assasination (no points in combat)

Save your money for you epic flyer. This weapon is a waste of your time in both MH and OH positions. The Glad weapons are a much smaller time investment to get vs the time it'd take you to grind the gold for this weapon. Also, the Glad weapons are hands down better than this. Do yourself a favor and get those instead.

OK I'm a n00b player, 2 year rogue, just switched to fists/hemo (s1/s1) and was doing good damage. right ripper has mongoose on it.

I bought a Blinkstrike for 2K (high, but i don't care) and switched to standard 20/41, FIST spec, for my rippers.

Blinkstrike with fist spec and NO mongoose is about the same dps as my right ripper, with goose, specced.

Once I get S1 OH, I'll put goose on blink and switch to combat sword spec.

Seeing as the fist has the same stats as the s1 sword, and higher max dmg, it'll be curious for raiding if S1, or even S2 is better.

From rogues I know doing 1200dps, they say goose on both blink/s1 oh keeps goose up a lot of the time, due to the extra attacks, and blows the DPS through the roof. We'll see :)

Very nice rogue sword. Two of these with mongoose would make a sick DPS. But i believe the price is alittle high and wowhead is a bit wrong its about 1000g now but still gotta love this beats within!

Sure this isn't a dream sword anymore but it's still up there pretty high. I have no problem outdistancing gladiator geared rogues with my sword specced blinkstrike rogue during raids and in pvp it's still fantastic.

I just dinged lvl 70 with my rogue and i bought one blinkstrike for 800g. I also have hand of justice trinket (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=11815) that, also, gives one extra attack and i am full of outland greens! I experimented with talents, so i am sword/hemo spec, and i must say that it is great. It procs so often and it makes enormous amounts of dmg and i can't imagine what will happen when I get some better equipement and one more BS! blade flurry and hemo burst FTW :D

I always wondered, how are weapons like these for Prot warriors? I know that with Devastate and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17705 I would almost never run out of rage - I seemed to get Thrash to proc often enough to make up for the rage I was eating while spamming Devastate when soloing, and the extra threat/DPS/rage meant I could toss in more Heroic Strikes between Devastates when tanking. Is it worth grabbing this weapon for a tank at 70?

It WILL proc off of special attacks. I play a prot warrior and have had it proc off of Devastate as well as Whirlwind.

Before I finally went PVP and epic'ed out with S1 and Glad Slicer x 2, I was dual wielding BS as Fury spec warrior.

I just submitted a screenshot of a flurry/death wish/full rampage with double BS proc = 5899 execute. I've never come close to that since, with much better gear and weaps now.

Those Blinks rocked, it was almost worth it for all the derision I got from gamers for using them. They called me "E-Bay Boy", lol.

As a combat rogue, I mysteriously pulled aggro and died instantly on a heroic SV run recently. I could not figure out what happened until the combat log showed six hits on one attack from an insane combo of Blinkstrike and 5/5 sword spec proccing off each other. Got a screenshot of it, to follow soon.

I´m soo happy I got this sweety for just ELEVEN (11) GOLD! Some kind of noob, was the seller probably and he told me, that he can´t find anybody that want it! Just week lvl 70 and I have gladiator´s shiv - rogue gladiator off-hand with Mongoose and this with Icy weapon enchant. Great proc and combined with great (extremely for PvP) Icy weapon chill chance and unbelievable Mongoose proc nothing can stop me even when I have still some green scrap...

2 of these weapons(inscribed or enchanted procs) is kick butt for DK's. Get in Season PVP gear(resilience), go haste(tears of bitter anguish, etc.) with blood(10)/frost(45)/unholy(16(get Necrosis)) build & under unholy presence and the procs go CRZY! It's like a freaking DK busting out Stormstrike!

I read this comment and I saw this wep was very good. It dropped off one of the wretched people in Quel'Danas a few days ago and I'm still not sure what to do with it. I have quickening blade of the prince main hand and shocking claws off hand as a combat rogue. I wanted to ask, should I move the quickening blade into off hand and make this wep my main hand?

EDIT: Just some grammar problems, as if I didn't have enough from using the word wep instead of weapon anyway. Go figure.

I Currently have been using this beautiful blade on my Prot Pally and stack the Reckoning with the Blinkstrike and Crusader, it guarantees proc for me at least with 50% "Exaggeration" proc due to speed of reckoning in multiple hits at one, iv had crusader ignite 5x in 7 hits. imo this blade is scary for other classes. Level 76 Prot Pally. and i bought mine for 150g lol

Sigh. Just dropped from an elemental in Nagrand while I was farming for primals on my deathknight. I can't win loot in ICC with any rolls but old school epics drop for me all the time. I mean this in all seriousness, I have seen way too many random world drop epics that I manage to win. Blizzard is obviously mocking me. I wonder how much its worth anymore.

Just dropped today for me in Tempest Keep. It dropped off one of the mobs in the first hallway just inside the entrance. I've never seen it there before, nor is it mentioned in the list so thought I'd drop a note. All and all I'd prefer the ashes, but will be back next week to try for those....

In Warlords of Draenor, with the addition of multistrike, the weapons stats in-game have been changed to an 18 multistrike stat, replacing the 6.6% extra hit proc, which should be the same as the original chance. Because i just pulled this item, I will be probably doing some tests on the item.
