Long dungeon-crawling quest chain for this sword.. kind of a letdown there's no real stats to it.

Don't forget that the third raid boss in the game is a demon (Magtheridon) not to mention many other demon-themed areas in the game. The Prince of Karazhan is also a demon.

This weapon is giving you 93 AP which is 6.7 DPS to each of your weapons if you wield it vs demons.

Not a great PvP weapon but it will be excellent for use in PvE for rogues and fury warriors.

Personally I would offhand the dagger version of this if I were to take one of the weapons. Keep your good mainhand weapon and still get the AP.

Only problem is the dagger is mainhand only.

So I'm on the quest chain now, and honestly I'll probably just take the claymore and vendor it for 11g. Once you get an epic weapon this one won't be as useful.

This is still a good main hand option for sword rogues until you can grab the Reflex Blades or Edge of the Cosmos. Even then this will be a good choice any time you're fighting demons. Put a Demonslaying enchant on it and you're good to go.

I'm currently doing quests at level 70 to get money, i'm a mutilate rogue and this sword would be nice when i come up against poison immune mobs while solo grinding or when i can't get behind a target (SS spam).

My question is, will i gain more money from doing these quests or will i lose it, considering i have to spend 27g + 2 other trade items. (assuming i only have to spend that much for the quest and no other hidden costs apply, minus repairs etc)

Got this wep yday for my rogue, i had Demonblood Eviscerator, but i am only gonna use this wep is i attack some demons, will use my Demonblood Eviscerator
for other NPC

Now that you can be summoned directly into the Mechanar by a warlock, this item is available to players before level 70. Something to consider if you're planning a 69 "twink."

This sword is the 2nd best MH for all sword-wielding melee classes before they reach level 70. The only superior MH to this is Gressil, Dawn of Ruin which drops from Kel'Thuzad in Naxxramas. If you were to make a level 69 "twink", get it Naxxramas geared.

Further proof that T3 geared players did not have to upgrade until reaching level 70. If you were to make a level 69 "twink", get it Naxxramas geared.

I actualy use this sword for raiding SWP, i have 2x Breeching Comet whcih fully socketed give me 98 AP, i have out agility on this which gives it 112 AP vs demons, an since most of the mobs in SWP are demons its great with elixir of demonslaying.

I dunno if all of the running around is worth this sword. I have spent quite a bit of gold on materials for it as well. I will finish the quest line, but I bet with some searching I probably could have found something better on the AH at some point. I already found a mace that does quite a bit more dmg. although it is hella slow.

If you're like me, and went through all the trouble to get your hands on this sword for transmogrification purposes, then be warned:

this sword can NOT be used for transmogrification.

I've no idea why, but it refuses to let me mog my current sword.

Instead, I'd suggest you farm Auchenai Crypts for Shaarde the Lesser - same model and can be used for transmogrification.

This item cannot be used as a transmogrification source. Note that it is one-hand so it cannot be used for main-hand weapons. Sadly, it cannot be used for other one-hand weapons either. The following message appears when attempted, "This item's appearance cannot be used." It might be because it has no stats, but I am not sure. If you are going to take the time to do this chain for transmogrification purposes, choose a different reward!
