This Blade is Truly great for a lvl 26-30 or 34 Warrior along with or {Zealot Blade} but since the Decent Speed on it is good and the ok amount of DPS this would also be Great for you Combat or Assasination Rogues that are likely spec'd on Swords !

I found mine off a lvl 32 rare ghoul in raven hill. It makes for a decent rogue weapon if you use an instant poison or something to that extent. The only downside is the low base damage for the fact that it is a mainhand sword, that can have a slight adverse effect on your sinister strike damage. The upside is, with an instant poison rank 2, and a 2 point slice and dice (using cheap shot at lvl 28 rank 1), you have a high chance of applying the poison multiple times and getting a shadowbolt proc. I was able to get a 134dps snapshot on my rouge at lvl 28 (without using a cooldown skill or stealth move) with this sword mainhand.

Note that this weapon sells extremely well on just about any server, so if you happen to get it, you're probably better off selling it than equipping it, even if it's an upgrade.

with fiery. this sword can do wonders for a 29 twink rouge. (or a 31 tankadin like myself :p) i highly suggest getting this weapon!

Just found it in a chest in SM. Wowhead should be updated to show the "large iron bound chest" as a possible container too.

i got mine while me and my cousin were doin q's so we can get 2 lvl 30 4 the mount over the hillsbrad mine or whatever there were like murlocs and we killed a rare murloc and this droped sooooo awesome lol :D :)

Found mine Black Knight in the Stormwind Stockades, I got a couple of them, and they go for about 200-300g per on my realm, because not a lot of people actually want to give it up. Makes a great twink weapon if used correctly.

Was just mucking about running through the harpy cave in thousand needles, ran to the end of it and dropped an explosive trap. I figured what the hell might as well loot them and ended up with this weapon o.O" I remember friends farming it for months to no avail. RNG will be RNG.

Mine says 44 shadow damage, but the average should be 40 according to Wowhead tooltip. This is on my 38 Rogue.

EDIT: I turned off the average damage feature and the sword now says 38-50. Wowhead must be out of date.

With the transmogrification feature being introduced in patch 4.3, this weapon could see a spike in interest due to its cool skin. With everyone going back in time and picking up the same gear, items like this will actually start to stand out. So if you're looking to go classic, gloomy and stand out, this is one weapon skin that will do a fine job.

wow I got lucky then I was farming for my sprite darter well after around 22k kills of the grim totem I desided to do the area quest took a good 40min & on the first set of quest I saw a chest in Feralas & the item it had was this sword so if anyone is hunting for this sword for use as a transmog which I mite do due to well I think it make a nice sword for my level 90 deathknight to use for a nice little pvp transmog sword.
So keep your eyes out for any chest in the area pop them open who knows what you mite fine.
my luck with the sprite darter has been crappy found 6 level 35 purples & no darter.
I think the total npc I killed to get this sword over the years is around 100k with all the skinning I done in alts along with all the questing and killing npc that get in the way for the past 2 years.
